Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Migrate2Shopify ("we", "us", "our") collects and uses your personal data when you visit migrate2shopify.com or engage our services.

We are a service operated by Belholm ApS, a company registered in Denmark. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at bp@belholm.com.

What we collect

When you visit our website or contact us, we may collect:

  • Contact details you provide — name, email address, phone number, company name

  • Information about your store and migration needs that you share with us

  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited

  • Cookie data, where you have consented

When you engage us for a migration project, we additionally collect business data necessary to perform the migration, including access credentials to your existing store, product data, customer data, and order history.

Why we use it

We process your personal data to:

  • Respond to enquiries and provide quotes

  • Deliver the migration services you've engaged us for

  • Send invoices and manage payments

  • Improve our website and services

  • Send service-related communications

  • Comply with legal obligations

Our legal basis for processing is typically contract performance (when delivering services), legitimate interest (responding to enquiries, improving our services), consent (marketing, non-essential cookies), or legal obligation (tax records, accounting).

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business (hosting, email, accounting, payment processing)

  • Shopify, where necessary to set up and configure your new store

  • Authorities, where required by law

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected, or as required by law. Accounting records are retained for 5 years in line with Danish bookkeeping requirements. Project files are typically kept for 2 years after project completion. Enquiries that don't result in a project are deleted within 12 months.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Have inaccurate data corrected

  • Have your data deleted (where applicable)

  • Restrict or object to our processing

  • Receive your data in a portable format

  • Withdraw consent at any time

  • Lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet)

To exercise any of these rights, email bp@belholm.com.

Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies to function and, with your consent, analytics cookies to help us understand how the site is used. You can manage your preferences through the cookie banner on your first visit.
